ACE-031 dosing — why no established dose exists

ACE-031 is an investigational myostatin/activin trap with no established human dose; its trials were halted for safety. This page explains what is known, why numbers cannot be given, and why oversight matters. Educational, not medical advice.

About
An experimental soluble activin receptor (ACVR2B) fusion protein studied for inhibiting myostatin and activin to promote muscle mass.
Educational — not a prescription

ACE-031 is an investigational biologic with no established human dose. Its clinical development was stopped over safety concerns. Any numbers circulating online are not medically established. This page is education, not a protocol, and nothing here should be read as a usable regimen.

Overview

ACE-031 is an engineered fusion protein — a soluble activin receptor (ACVR2B) decoy that acts as a "ligand trap," soaking up myostatin and related signals that limit muscle growth. It was studied for muscular dystrophy, not approved for any use.

What is known about dosing

There is no common, validated dosing pattern to report:

  • ACE-031 was only ever given in controlled clinical trials, where amounts were set by a study protocol, not by individuals.
  • Those trials were halted early because of safety signals (including nosebleeds and gum bleeding linked to effects on blood vessels).
  • No approved label, no maintenance schedule, and no established safe amount for general use exists.

Because it is a long-acting biologic rather than a short peptide, exposure persists for a long time after administration, which magnifies the risk of any error.

Why no dose can be given

Stating a number here would imply a level of certainty that does not exist. The program never reached approval, the safety profile was concerning enough to stop trials, and there is no way to individualize an amount safely outside formal research. Responsible education means saying plainly that no established dose exists.

Why oversight matters

ACE-031 affects signaling pathways that touch muscle and blood vessels throughout the body, and its long duration means adverse effects cannot be quickly reversed. Any legitimate use would occur only within a supervised research study with monitoring for the exact problems that ended its trials.
